In MyChat, you can edit own sent messages in conferences and private dialogues during 15 minutes after sending (the time is set on the server). This measures is for avoiding changing the meaning of the conversation. You can't edit messages of other people, but you can still delete them, if rights allow so.

By default, all users can edit messages.

To edit a sent message, press the button "Up" on the keyboard when an input field is empty (that allows message editing). Or chose any message by a right-mouse click.

Also, we added a fuzzy search technology that allow to edit messages in a different yet similar way. For example, you send a message and see a minor mistake in it: one or two wrong letters in one or more words. It is much faster to correct a word with the asterisk (*) sign and send it back. The program will figure out what needs to be replaced in the original phrase.

The asterisk symbol (*) is added at the beginning or end of the word, with or without space.
