Hello!
Here is the guide on how to do it.
1) Copy two directories on the new server:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\MyChat Server\
- C:\ProgramData\MyChat Server\ (for 2003 R2: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\MyChat Server\)

2) On the old server: enter Admin Panel, "Tools" -> "Server moving", and specify your new IP address. After that, send these parameters to all users (it is sent to all online users).

Users receive these settings and connect to the new server after the next connection.

If the server's IP address is the same during the transfer process, then everything is much easier — move two directories from the first paragraph described above, and users will connect without any problem.

If you have a domain transparent authorization — move directories from the first paragraph and specify a new server IP address in the Register File. After the Group Policy update is complete, users will connect to the new server.

Hi. I know this is an old post, but I am in the process of moving the server now.

Should I only copy the two directories mentioned ? Or do I need to download the installer, run the installation setup and afterwards copy the directories on top of the new setup ?

What if I install from zero and copy only the files on ProgramData\MyChat Server ?

Regards
